Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has said President Bola Tinubu now appears to be a different leader from the person he knew when they worked together in the past.
The former Sokoto State governor made the remarks on Friday’s edition of Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, where he reflected on his time with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his decision to leave the party in 2018.
“He is appearing to be different if what I used to know of him in the past when we collaborated,” Tambuwal said when asked about his experience working with Tinubu.
Tambuwal added that by 2018, he had lost faith in the APC’s direction and concluded that the party was not offering solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.
“I was in the same party with them before, but I left. I saw the way APC was driving Nigeria to where it is today as far back as in 2018, and I left in August 2018,” Tambuwal explained.
