Human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has described the defection of former presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, as an act of desperation.
Sowore in a post on his social media account on Wednesday characterised Obi’s move, alongside his supporters, from the Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a migration of “desperate conmen” to an “Association of Desperate Conmen.”
The critique did not spare the ruling party, with Sowore asserting that the move maintains the group’s “ideological proximity to their friends in the Association of Present Criminals (APC).
He concluded the statement with a pointed, ironic wish: “May political homelessness never be our portion.”
