The Lagos State Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, on Thursday conducted a statewide patrol aimed at deterring criminal activities and boosting public confidence ahead of the upcoming Eid-il-Fitr celebrations.
The coordinated operation, which covered key areas across the state, is part of efforts to ensure the safety of residents before, during, and after the festive period.
Residents of Agege and its surrounding communities lauded the initiative, describing it as a proactive step towards maintaining law and order. Many noted the increased visibility of security personnel and the seamless coordination among the various agencies involved.
Authorities disclosed that strategic deployments of personnel, operational assets, and intelligence-driven technology have been put in place across Lagos to prevent security breaches and guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.
The police command reassured residents of its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging the public to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies throughout the festive season.
