In a major tactical success, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed a critical Improvised Explosive Device (IED) manufacturing hub and neutralized scores of terrorists in a series of precision air strikes in Zamfara State.
The operations, conducted by the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI on December 28, 2025, targeted two high-value terrorist enclaves in Tsafe Local Government Area.
According to a statement by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the first strike targeted a confirmed bandit hideout at Turba Hill. Persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance had revealed a zinc-roofed structure central to the enclave’s activities. The target was successfully engaged, resulting in its complete destruction and the neutralization of several bandits.
The second, and most significant, strike destroyed the camp of a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Dogo Sule. This location was identified as a key IED manufacturing and operational hub, linked to recent attacks along the Dan Sadau–Magami axis.
“The precision strike successfully engaged multiple active structures within the enclave, triggering intense fires that destroyed the facilities and neutralised several bandits, effectively crippling the group’s IED production and deployment capability,” Air Commodore Ejodame stated.
The NAF spokesman affirmed that these decisive air strikes represent a significant degradation of bandit networks in Zamfara State, particularly their capacity to produce and deploy explosives.
He further reiterated the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment, in close coordination with other security agencies, to deny criminal elements safe havens, degrade their combat effectiveness, and support ongoing joint efforts to restore lasting peace and security across the North-West region.
