The coronation was held on Saturday, according to a statement by the Oba Adediran on Monday.
During the ceremony, Amosun described Akinale as an important town in the Owu Kingdom, urging him to embrace unity and inclusiveness in his reign.
He prayed for divine wisdom and strength, expressing confidence that Oba Adediran’s “tenure would bring development and peace to the community”.
On his part, Oba Matemilola praised the new monarch for his contributions to the community even before ascending the throne.
“Today, we have seen the foundation laying of the proposed police station in Akinale. We have also seen the effort he has made to continue the town hall project which was started in the 70s. We have also seen the foundation laying of the health centre that he personally sponsored.
“With this, it gives us hope that his reign will bring a lot of prosperity and development to Owu-Akinale. We wish him well and the very best,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Adediran expressed gratitude to God, his family, the Adediran dynasty, and all stakeholders who supported his emergence.
He also acknowledged the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, whom he described as the “Olori Omoba of Ogun State” and the Ogun State Executive Council for approving his selection.
