The Labour Party (LP) has officially congratulated Abia State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing him as the party’s finest electoral outcome from the 2023 general elections.
In a press release signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Ken Eluma Asogwa, the party praised Governor Otti for demonstrating that the Labour Party “truly governs with a difference,” three years after assuming leadership of the state.
The party noted that Otti’s outstanding performance has been widely acknowledged by multiple rating organizations across the country, earning him the reputation of being Nigeria’s best-performing governor.
“As a party, we are proud that the nation’s most impactful governor today is a product of the Labour Party,” the statement read.
With the 2027 general elections approaching, the Labour Party expressed confidence that the people of Abia State would reward the governor’s remarkable leadership, bold reforms, and transformative strides across critical sectors of the state’s economy.
The party acknowledged the challenges of governance but noted that Otti has remained undeterred.
“The party is particularly delighted that despite distractions and needless opposition from individuals and forces that held Abia State hostage for over two decades before his rescue mission, Governor Otti has remained focused, resolute and committed to delivering purposeful governance to the people,” the statement added.
Milestone and Wishes
The Labour Party congratulated the governor on the milestone and extended wishes for greater success in his continued service to the people of Abia State.
Governor Otti, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, has overseen major reforms in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and civil service administration, earning both local and national recognition.
