The lawmaker representing the Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency, Kogi State and chieftain of the ADC, Leke Abejide, has boasted that he will send opposition figures who recently joined the party back to where they came from.
The Kigo lawmaker made the assertion in a recent interview with Seun Okinbaloye where he declared himself “landlord” of the ADC and vowing to ensure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election at all costs.
Abejide during the interview, dismissed key political rivals as irrelevant, reserving particular scorn for Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, David Mark, Aregbesola and Rotimi Amaechi.
“I am the landlord of ADC, I will show them pepper.”
Amaechi is not a factor. He is not a politician,” Abejide said, brushing aside former Rivers State governo Rotimi Amaechi’s influence.
He went further, targeting ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President David Mark, and ex-Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola with biting rhetoric. “We will send them back to where they come from.
“All of them have governed before. Are they coming from heaven? Are they angels?”
Labour Party’s Peter Obi, who has gained significant youth support with his reform pledges, was not spared either. “Obi is talking bla bla bla! He will do this, he will do that! It’s easy to talk,” Abejide mocked, dismissing the former Anambra governor’s promises as empty talk.
The ADC chieftain made it clear that his loyalty lies solely with President Tinubu, rejecting any political alliances that do not serve the president’s interests.
“The only coalition I belong to is the one that will make President Tinubu win his re-election,” he declared.
He also claimed widespread northern backing for Tinubu, stating, “Even majority of northern leaders are supporting this president.”
