Not a few people are scared with uncertainty as yet to be identified gunmen in their numbers invaded Odo-Ore in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Spear News learnt they fired sporadically and abducted, at least, five residents of the town.
Reliable sources said there is no police station or any security outfit in the area to repel the attack by the terrorists.
But Channels Television, reported that the terrorists forced their way in and went straight to the residence of one Alhaji Yusuf Yunusa, an
Influential politician and school proprietor, and took him away at gunpoint.
The daring gunmen were said to have in addition whisked away four other victims while on their way out of the community.
However, a resident of the area, Channels Television, who pleaded anonymity, said the abduction of the proprietor to was the handiwork of informants in Odo-Ore.
“The attack on Alhaji Yusuf can be attributed to the handiwork of informants, because they went straight to his residence to abduct him.
“He was preparing to sleep around 11 p.m. when they forced their way through his gate, broke the main door of his house, and took him away”.
As at the time of filing this report, Kwara State Police Command is yet to respond to the criminal incident.
