The Federal Road Safety Corps has recovered a stolen Hyundai vehicle in Abuja and handed it over to the police for further investigation.
Its spokesman, Osondu Ohaeri, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Mr Ohaeri said the RS7.1 Federal Capital Territory sector command tow truck team recovered the vehicle on the penultimate Tuesday.
He said the red Hyundai, with registration number YAB 789 AM, was recovered at Wuye, along the expressway leading to Area 1.
According to him, a document found inside the vehicle provided a lead that enabled the team to trace and contact the owner.
Mr Ohaeri said the RS7.1 sector commander, Tijjani Iliyasu, subsequently activated the inter-agency process for the vehicle’s handover to the police.
He said Sabitu Abdu, a deputy corps commander (operations), handed over the vehicle to Nimyel Ponfa, divisional police officer, Wuse Division. He said Mr Ponfa received the vehicle on behalf of the police commissioner at the FCT command.
