September 8, 2025 – The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially announced an international academic opportunity for qualified Nigerian citizens.
The Ministry is inviting applications for the vacant position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Islamic University of Technology is a renowned institution owned by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), dedicated to promoting educational and technical cooperation among its member states.
According to a statement signed by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Mr. Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the position represents a significant opportunity for Nigerian academics to contribute to a prestigious international institution while fostering academic ties between Nigeria and the OIC community.
Interested and qualified candidates are directed to submit their applications through a two-step process. Firstly, applicants must complete an online application via the official university portal at https://www.iutoic-dhaka.edu/circular.
Secondly, in addition to the online form, one hard copy of the complete application package must be couriered to the university in Bangladesh. This package must include:
· A detailed curriculum vitae (CV),
· A recent passport-sized photograph,
· And copies of all relevant academic and professional documents.
The hard copy must be addressed to: The Chief of Human Resource and Cabinet Office, Islamic University of Technology(IUT), Board Bazar,Gazipur-1704, Bangladesh.
The Ministry has emphasised that the deadline for the receipt of applications is strict. All applications, both online and physical, must be submitted no later than Friday, September 20, 2025. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
