The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with a one-chance robbery and attempted kidnapping incident, successfully rescuing two victims during the operation.
According to the police, the incident occurred on October 8, 2025, at about 10:09 p.m., when a victim called the Life Camp Police Station in distress, reporting that she had been abducted by suspected criminals who demanded โฆ1 million as ransom for her release.
Acting swiftly on the report, operatives from the Life Camp Division deployed both digital and tactical intelligence to trace the suspects. The operation, carried out on October 9 at about 4:30 a.m., led to the arrest of the suspects at Dape Village following a confrontation with the police.
Two victims were rescued during the operation. However, one of them sustained multiple stab wounds inflicted by the suspects and was rushed to Gwarinpa General Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
The arrested suspects were identified as:
1. Solomon Tanko (male)
2. Samuel Audu (male)
3. Chigozie Joseph (male)
4. Emmanuel Chidiebere (male)
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had been operating around the Bannex and Kado areas, using a vehicle with tinted windows to lure unsuspecting passengers. They confessed to robbing at least six victims before their arrest.
Items recovered from the suspects include 15 international passports, two sharp daggers, two cutlasses, bloodstained documents, four mobile phones, two hammers, and three biros.
The FCT Commissioner of Police commended the swift response of the Life Camp Division officers, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to aid police intervention.
