Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the wife of Alimamy Pompey Kamara, a prominent member and leader within the Dr. Ibrahim Bangura Movement, describing the loss as painful and deeply personal.
Speaking at the burial ceremony held in Kambia District, Dr. Bangura began by greeting family members, community leaders, and mourners who gathered to pay their last respects. He noted that the occasion was one of profound sadness and extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
Dr. Bangura paid special tribute to Alimamy Pompey Kamara, describing him as one of the most reliable and committed individuals he knows. He acknowledged Kamara’s long-standing contributions, loyalty, and dedication, noting that their relationship went beyond formal association.
“We were already family before this sad moment and we will continue to be,” Dr. Bangura said, adding that the bond between them has now grown even stronger in the face of loss.
In a significant show of solidarity, Dr. Bangura announced that the next ceremonial obligation connected to the burial would be fully covered, relieving the family of the associated financial burden. He further assured the gathering that the child left behind will continue to receive full support from the movement for as long as necessary.
