Sources Report Multiple Casualties Including Security Personnel in Late-Night Attack
Spear News has learned of a deadly ambush targeting a convoy of expatriates in the Eldestine Quarry area north of the BUA cement stockpile on Friday night.
According to preliminary information received by our correspondents, the attack occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. on September 5, 2025. A gang of armed men opened fire on the vehicles as the convoy was returning from the quarry site.
Initial reports indicate the ambush resulted in a significant number of casualties.
Our sources on the ground state that at least eight people are feared dead. The victims are believed to include officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and a local driver.
Several other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries during the violent assault and have been rushed to nearby medical facilities.
The sounds of sustained gunshots were said to have jolted residents of the quiet community from their sleep, causing widespread panic.
At this time, the police and other security agencies have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
The motive for the attack and the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown.
But sources revealed to this medium that a number of Chinese were kidnapped at the middle of the operation.
