Chelsea Football Club has confirmed the appointment of 41-year-old Liam Rosenior as the new head coach of the men’s first team. He joins the Blues on a long-term contract running until 2032.
Rosenior arrives at Stamford Bridge from French club RC Strasbourg, where he secured European qualification in his debut season, and brings a reputation for tactical intelligence and developing young talent.
In a club statement, Chelsea expressed strong confidence in their new appointment: “Liam has the ability to get the best out of this squad quickly and joins us with the responsibility and the backing to ensure Chelsea continues to compete at the top level in all competitions.”
Speaking on his move, Rosenior said: “I am extremely humbled and honoured. This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies. My job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values.”
He emphasized his core philosophy, adding: “I believe deeply in teamwork, unity, and togetherness. There is a real hunger to win here, and I will give everything, every single day, to help this team compete and win at the very highest level.”
The former Hull City and Derby County coach has been tasked with uniting the squad and implementing a clear playing style as Chelsea aim to return to the pinnacle of domestic and European football.
