A lawmaker in the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has purchased the All Progressives Congress, APC, Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be a contender for a re-election in the 2027 presidential polls.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, formally presented the form ahead of the party’s nomination process in Abuja.Faleke, Spear News recalls is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups.
The form which was bought at N100 million, is seen as a formal indication of Tinubu’s intention to seek for a re-election.
But the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has scheduled Saturday, January 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls are scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2027.
Also, the electoral umpire has outlined timetable for party primaries, to even include the resolution of related disputes, between April 23, 2026, and May 30, 2026, while presidential and National Assembly contests will begin on August 19, 2026,.
It further stated the timeline for governorship and state assembly elections that is expected to begin on September 9, 2026.
