Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Yahaya Bello, former Kogi state Governor has purchased the All Progressives Congress, APC, nomination forms for the Kogi Central senatorial polls.
The ruling party’s leadership has settled on Bello as the consensus candidate for the senatorial election.
Also, the serving senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district is also seeking a reelection under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Political pundits said the former governor will surely slug it out with the serving Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, of the PDP.
Spear News recalls that the duo have been in political trenches over the years yet, 2027 will be an intriguing showdown to finally decide their struggle for political supremacy in the state.
