The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has called for unity and mass mobilisation within the party in Adamawa State as the 2027 general elections draw nearer.
Atiku, who is running on the ADC ticket alongside his vice-presidential candidate, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, made the call earlier today during a meeting with the party’s 2027 candidates across all elective positions in the state, including the governorship candidate, Hamman Tukur Ribadu .
Addressing party leaders present at the gathering, the ADC presidential candidate urged them to reconcile all factions and unite members under a common platform. He specifically called on the ADC Deputy National Chairman for the North East, Mr Daniel Bwala, and the State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, to intensify voter sensitisation efforts and begin grassroots engagement ahead of the polls .
Expressing satisfaction with the growing unity within the party, Atiku encouraged the leadership to sustain the momentum, stating that a united front is essential for electoral success.
“I am pleased to see the party uniting to form a common front. I have encouraged them to maintain these efforts,” Atiku said.
The meeting signals a renewed push by the ADC to strengthen its presence in Adamawa State and build a formidable structure capable of competing in the upcoming election cycle. The ADC has been undertaking membership registration and revalidation across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, while continuing discussions with other opposition parties as part of efforts to build a broader platform against the ruling All Progressives Congress.
