The Nigeria Forest Security Services (NFSS) Ebonyi State command on Friday trained 2,000 personnel on Information and Intelligent Management, in Abakaliki.
Declaring the workshop open, the NFSS State Commander in Ebonyi State, Larry Igwe, commended the turnout of the members at the summit.
The security summit on โIntelligence-Drive Operationโ was organised in conjunction with the State Security Service.
He emphasised the need for the personnel to exhibit higher level of diligence, discipline and proactiveness while discharging their duties.
Mr Igwe urged the operatives to remain focused on the profession to earn the confidence of Nigerians.
Igwe said, โ You are expected to perform optimally and increase your capacity to handle complex tasks after this security summit,
โYou must never compromise the profession in any form; do not allow bribery, and corruption hijack your conscience from serving compassionately.
โYour appearance always, must send warning signals to criminals to desist from criminalities.โ
He further commended Gov Francis Nwifuru for an enabling environment for the training.
The service also lauded the DSS for enhancing the security knowledge among our personnel.
The NFSS pledged to maintain security presence across the state in order to combat criminality.
Mr Patrick Egwu and Nnenna Ali, both participants, described the exercise as professional and advocated for more retraining.
They called on President Bola Tinubu to expedite action on the inclusion of NFSS into security structure.
