The Federal Government has announced Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement that was officially signed by Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, made the declaration on behalf of the government, extending warm congratulations to the Muslim community in Nigeria and abroad.
He urged Muslims to embrace the values of sacrifice and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him) and to use the occasion to pray for peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
Tunji-Ojo reassured citizens of the government’s commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasising ongoing reforms aimed at steering Nigeria toward progress. He called on all Nigerians to support the administration’s efforts in rebuilding the nation.
The Minister wished Muslims a joyful Eid-ul-Adha celebration and encouraged unity among citizens for a greater Nigeria.
