Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has extended warm felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday, lauding his administration’s economic reforms and dedication to national development.
In a statement issued on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State, Governor Fintiri described President Tinubu as a transformative leader whose contributions have shaped Nigeria’s democratic and economic trajectory.
“President Tinubu’s leadership has been instrumental in Nigeria’s democratic consolidation and economic restructuring. His administration’s commitment to progress and national unity remains a beacon of hope for millions of Nigerians,” Fintiri stated.
The governor commended Tinubu’s bold economic initiatives, noting that key indicators show positive trends that reflect the effectiveness of ongoing policies.
“Under President Tinubu’s administration, we have witnessed significant economic adjustments that are paving the way for sustainable growth. The inflation rate, currently at 24.1% as reported by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), is the lowest in four years. Additionally, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has risen to $585.9 billion, recording a 3.2% growth, with the World Bank forecasting a further increase to 3.5%,” he noted.
Governor Fintiri urged President Tinubu to remain committed to policies that prioritize economic stability, security, and social welfare, emphasizing the importance of inclusive development in addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.
“As we celebrate your achievements, I encourage Your Excellency to deepen efforts in ensuring that policies remain people-centered, safeguarding national security and improving livelihoods. The mandate of governance is to enhance the welfare of all citizens,” he added.
The Adamawa State Governor also reiterated his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the Federal Government in achieving shared developmental goals, stressing the need for synergy in fostering economic resilience and national prosperity.
Fintiri concluded by extending his best wishes to President Tinubu, expressing hope for continued wisdom, strength, and success in steering Nigeria toward greater heights.
