The media adviser to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has reacted to comments made by Dare Adeleke, the caretaker chairman of PDP in Ekiti State, regarding the party’s national secretariat recently sealed by the minister.
In a social media post, Lanre Olayinka referred to Adeleke as “the illegal Caretaker Chairman” and made pointed remarks about his political career, suggesting he had been “relegated from Chairman of a major agency in Oyo State to Adviser without office.”
The post, which included Nigerian Pidgin phrases and laughing emojis, questioned Adeleke’s current position.
He said: “Dare Adeleke, the illegal Caretaker Chairman of PDP in Ekiti State too has been running his mouth on the PDP National Secretariat issue, just like his political mentor.
“Person wey dem relegate from Chairman of a major agency in Oyo State to Adviser without office
“Abi which one is Special Adviser on Federal Constituency bayi.”
Olayinka concluded with an apparent reference to an outstanding rent obligation: “Anyways, 12 Days remaining for Outstanding Ground Rent and associated penalty to be paid.”
Dare Adeleke, who is also Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Federal Constituency Matters, recently accused the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, of masterminding a plot to “destroy and eliminate all opposition parties” in a bid to make the All Progressives Congress the sole political party in Nigeria.
Adeleke described Wike’s persistent attacks on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party as “undemocratic and arrogant,” alleging that the FCT Minister’s actions are part of a broader scheme to secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Condemning Wike’s recent comments, Adeleke said the former Rivers State governor had taken a troubling turn, marked by dishonesty and a growing trust deficit among key PDP stakeholders.
