Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has issued directive to contractors handling various projects across the state to strictly adhere to job specifications and ensure the delivery of quality work for the benefit of the people.
The Governor in a statement signed by Fred Itua his Chief Press Secretary he emphasized that he is accountable to the people of Edo State and will be responsible for explaining how his administration utilizes funds from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC).
Governor Okpebholo gave the charge during an inspection of several ongoing projects at various stages of completion.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing more people-oriented projects that will have a direct and positive impact on citizens.
The Governor announced that the Upper Ekenhuan axis of the road leading to the Nigerian Army Cantonment in Ekenhuan has been completed.
He also assured residents that construction work on the Upper Ekenhuan road at Igo Community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area will commence shortly, as the contract has already been awarded and the contractor will soon be mobilized to the site.
