The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) Foundation is offering free cataract surgeries to 1,000 Nigerians.
The beneficiaries are from Rivers, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom states.
In a statement announcing the program, the foundation says it will run from March 31 to April 4, 2025, at Meridian Hospital in D/Line, Port Harcourt.
In Bayelsa, surgeries will take place from March 31 to April 4. Akwa Ibom sessions are scheduled for April 2 to April 3.
NNPCL urged residents to take advantage of the initiative. The company emphasized that cataract-related blindness is preventable.
It reaffirmed its commitment to improving healthcare and restoring vision.
