Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC are said to be currently quizzing Nigeria’s immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye for her alleged roles in the misappropriation, violation of procurement process and diversion of public funds to the tune of N138,413,253.89k in the course of disbursing the 2023 budgeted funds for the Ministry when she was in office.
Authoritative Sources close to the EFCC told ait.live that Uju Kennedy Ohaneye arrived the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja around 11:00am on Thursday and was still facing interrogators on her alleged involvement in the fraud, at the time of this report.
The multiple Sources also claimed that Investigations by the EFCC showed that monies donated for the funding of P-BAT Cares for Women Initiative were diverted for her self enrichment.
It is gathered that interrogations are still ongoing and she has not been admitted to administrative bail.
