The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS), under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Oladele Bankole Balogun, has recorded an upward revenue review, generating N33.8 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
Balogun disclosed this at Pinnacle Builder Homes and Company after receiving an award of honor from the firm.
He stated that the revenue body, under the administration of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has achieved tremendous success.
According to him, the vision of the current administration is to achieve, sustain, and increase revenue generation, which is why the state government has not borrowed money since its inception to fund ongoing laudable projects.
Balogun noted that the present revenue performance is significantly better than that of the previous administration, which recorded relatively low revenue despite available resources.
He urged Edo State residents to fulfill their tax obligations to enable the government to continue delivering impactful projects for the benefit of all.
