The Edo State Government has demolished a building in Benin City allegedly used by suspected members of a secret cult group for their activities.
A viral video shows that the building, located in the Amagba community, was pulled down by operatives of the Edo State Security Task Force.

The demolition comes just a day after a residential duplex in Benin City, reportedly used for kidnapping and organ harvesting, was also demolished.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Monday Okpebholo, Mr. Fred Itua, who spoke on behalf of the governor at yesterday’s demolition, confirmed that the affected properties were being used by cult groups as meeting points to plan violent attacks that have claimed several lives.
He emphasized that the crackdown was not politically motivated, contrary to public speculation. “This is not a political witch-hunt. These buildings were used for acts that contravene the laws of Edo State. The Governor has made it clear that anyone involved in cultism or related crimes will face the full force of the law,” he said.
