A group of suspected bandits, disguising themselves as officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), allegedly abducted 10 individuals from the White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road, located in the Chanchaga Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State.
According to intelligence sources cited by Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, the incident took place at approximately 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, 27th February 2025.
The armed assailants reportedly raided the hotel under the pretence of conducting an official EFCC operation. It is understood that the suspects deactivated the hotel’s CCTV surveillance system before systematically entering guests’ rooms and forcibly removing 10 individuals to an undisclosed location.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department (Acpol SID), has confirmed that an investigation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators and secure the safe return of the abducted victims.
Makama further emphasised that the public has been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities, who are actively working to unravel the circumstances surrounding this brazen attack.
