The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally ratified the outcome of the party’s Anambra State governorship primary election, declaring Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu as its standard-bearer for the forthcoming November 2025 polls.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, affirmed the resolution in an official communiqué, issued after a decision reached during the NWC’s meeting on Wednesday, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, following last week primary election supervised by Cross River State Governor, His Excellency Bassey Otu.
Ukachukwu emerged victorious with an overwhelming 1,455 votes, as confirmed in the official report submitted by Governor Otu’s electoral committee.
Presenting the Certificate of Return to the candidate, APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje commended the committee for conducting what he described as “a fair, credible, and transparent” exercise.
In a appeal for party cohesion, Ganduje urged all stakeholders, particularly fellow aspirants and their supporters, to rally behind Ukachukwu’s candidature. “The task ahead demands unity of purpose,” he emphasised, underscoring the APC’s determination to secure victory in the 8th November gubernatorial contest.
