The Delta State Police Command has exhumed the body of Chigozie Udalor, a site engineer allegedly murdered by his workers.
Police say the suspects killed him after discovering he had a large sum of money in his Moniepoint account.
Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a statement in Asaba. He said the body is awaiting autopsy while efforts to arrest fleeing suspects continue.

Investigations revealed that on December 12, 2024, one Hyacinth Nnalue reported Udalor missing. He had last been seen on December 10. Udalor was the site manager of a fish pond in Bod Camp, Akwukwu-Igbo community.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, ordered a detailed investigation. A breakthrough came on March 31, 2025.
Police arrested David Tacho while he was trying to withdraw money from Udalor’s account. Another suspect, Daniel Orshio, was also caught.
“David Tacho’s brother, Victor Tacho, conspired with Pius Daniel (both at large) and Daniel Orshio to kill the victim,” Edafe said.
They hit him with a hammer, tied him up, and buried him in a shallow grave. Two suspects remain on the run.
