Suspended Kogi State Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has called on the Federal Government to hold Governor Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio accountable for any potential security breaches in Kogi Central, following Ododo’s abrupt ban on public gatherings.
The senator’s warning is coming just hours after Governor Ododo imposed restrictions on rallies and assemblies in the state, a move perceived as a direct response to Natasha’s planned homecoming event to address her supporters during the Sallah celebrations.
Natasha, who has recently been under the eyes of storms, including her controversial suspension from the Senate and a recall petition by constituents widely deemed politically motivated, accused the state and federal authorities of attempting to stifle dissent.
In a strongly worded message, she declared: “My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our peaceful Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Governor Ododo, Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible.”
