Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in the state and beyond as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Okpebholo commended the Muslim community for their dedication and sacrifice during the Holy Month of Ramadan. He highlighted the importance of spiritual discipline, charity, and prayers in shaping a better society.
The governor urged Muslims to uphold the values of compassion, tolerance, and unity learned during Ramadan. He called for peaceful coexistence among people of all faiths.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Edo State, I heartily congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters on this joyous occasion,” Okpebholo said.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting religious tolerance and inclusivity in Edo State.
The governor wished all Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
