…250 Beneficiaries Receive Starter Packs Under Renewed Hope Employment Initiative
In a bid to tackle unemployment and drive economic empowerment, the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has partnered with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to provide social safety nets aimed at creating jobs across the country.
Speaking at the resettlement of beneficiaries under the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Abuja, NSITF Managing Director, Barrister Oluwaseun Faleye, highlighted the critical role of skill acquisition in economic revitalization.
Describing the initiative as a strategic effort to reduce unemployment and uplift Nigerians, Faleye reaffirmed NSITF’s commitment to working with the NDE to support economic growth, job creation, and poverty alleviation, in alignment with the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Efforts like this provide a significant boost to the informal sector of the economy and should be expanded to meet the aspirations of underprivileged Nigerians and beneficiaries,” Faleye stated.
He further emphasized that sustained programs of this nature would contribute to reducing unemployment, assuring that NSITF remains dedicated to partnering with NDE to provide social safety nets that address the issue.
The Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, designed to enhance job opportunities, empowered 250 beneficiaries with starter packs to facilitate self-employment and entrepreneurial growth.
The program aligns with NDE’s core objectives by tailoring skills acquisition to market demands and national priorities. It seeks to improve employability, support small-scale enterprises, boost agricultural productivity, enhance rural infrastructure, and provide short-term employment opportunities.
