Suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has openly celebrated her personal and political resilience in a self penned poem titled “Natasha’s Rhythm of Victory,” declaring that her struggles serve as inspiration for others facing adversity.
The poem, shared across her official social media platforms, reflects on her journey through legal battles, political opposition, and societal challenges. With lines like “Through trials fierce and battles long, She stands unshaken, bold, and strong,” the senator frames her experiences as proof that perseverance leads to triumph.
The poem opens with a declaration of resilience: “Through trials fierce and battles long, She stands unshaken, bold, and strong.”These lines mirror the senator’s real life struggles, including her ongoing battles return to the Senate or to stop plots to recall her.
With a rallying call for collective progress, she writes, “She fights for all, for me, for you,” aligning with her legislative focus on social justice and equitable development. The poem crescendos with defiance, “No chain can bind, no storm can break”, a nod to her determination against political opposition. The closing lines, “A song of triumph, a torch of flame,” position her as a symbol of hope, rising above challenges to inspire others.
She said although she is faced with tough challenges and long struggles, but she remains fearless and unbreakable. With passion and clear vision, she creates new opportunities and inspires hope.
She expressed confidence that people rally behind her because she is a natural leader who breaks barriers. She fights with fairness and dedication, not just for herself, but for everyone.
This is the sweet sound of victory, Natasha rises up and represents all of us, she said.
Senator Natashs’s inspirational poem is coming just after a group of constituents launched efforts to remove her from office.
Earlier today, a coalition named Concerned Kogi Youth and Women- claiming to represent registered voters from Kogi Central, formally petitioned INEC to initiate a recall process against their senator. The group cited alleged poor representation as their reason for action.
