Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has raised alarm over an alleged plan by Nigerian security officials to arrest her upon her return to the country.
Natasha made this known in
a telephone interview with
PREMIUM TIMES on Sunday. She claimed the planned arrest is connected to her recent participation in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting in New York on March 11. During the meeting, she addressed her suspension from the Senate and made allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
“I’m aware there are plans underway to have me arrested as soon as I arrive in Abuja,” she stated.
