Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the departure of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, from the All Progressives Congress (APC), with a scathing statement referencing their past political rivalry.
El-Rufai officially left the ruling party on Monday, citing internal disagreements and a lack of alignment with the party’s current direction.
In a strongly worded post on his social media platform, Shehu Sani drew a parallel between El-Rufai’s exit and the former governor’s controversial policies during his tenure.
Sani, a vocal critic of El-Rufai, stated, “He callously evicted us from our homes and sent us to the forest, and our Lord has evicted him from his home and sent him to the wilderness. Our Lord’s 5G Judgment.”
The statement appears to reference El-Rufai’s handling of some party members who were forced to leave the APC in Kaduna State and contentious demolition of properties in Kaduna State, which displaced many residents and sparked widespread criticism.
Sani’s use of the phrase “Our Lord’s 5G Judgment” suggests a belief that divine retribution has caught up with the former governor.
El-Rufai’s exit from the APC has stirred significant political discourse, with many speculating about his next move. While some view his departure as a setback for the ruling party, others see it as an opportunity for opposition parties to gain momentum ahead of future elections.
